Full name of Operating System is Microsoft Windows Vista Home premium. None of the mice I can find indicate compatibility with Microsoft Windows VIsta. Where can I get a wireless mouse that is compatible? Doesn't seem as if it should be a problem.

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
That's because hardware manufacturers only list the most recent Windows OS for compatibility purposes. Folks are more concerned about hardware working with Current OSs, than with the older ones.
Any mouse that works with Win7 should work fine with Vista. The only issue you might run into is if the mouse comes with software implementing special features and those features are only supported on specific OSs. Logitech does this with their MouseWare software. So if you bought a new Logitech mouse and you want to use MouseWare (which, BTW is not required for general use of the mouse), you might have to hunt down an old version of their software.
Good Luck
