Where can I order some of those cylinder-head guide screws that you screw into the sides of a new drive, so it will glide along the rails and lock into place in the internal 3.5" slots? No extras came with my computer. I need to install 2 more drives so need 8 screws (4 screws per drive).

I called our local Mom & Pop's computer store and they offered to sell me a dozen screws for $1. I guess that's the only way. HP doesn't have them.

Hi,

Someone posted and claimed that allen head 6/32 screws would work.  The claim hasn't been verified.  I suspect the heads are not big enough.

Give HP Partsufer a call. They should be a common stock item.

Have you removed the front cover to look for additional screws?

I call HP Parts (800) 227-8164 as you suggested but the rep couldn't find a part number, so referred me to someone, who referred me to someone else who definitely didn't know anything about it.

So where can I get some of those screws? 😞

Apparently HP is not supplying them. I've seen several such requests on this forum but nobody came up with a concrete answer.

Yes, I took off the side panel and front cover and there are no extra screws that I could see. An old Compaq I had came with extra screws screwed into the plate under the front cover, but not this HP Envy.

Dead end?

I tried again and they referred me to tech support, which said these screws are not available from HP.

So where can I get them....?????????
