Can I fit a Firewire port to my desktop, if so which one would be suitable?

Ah. Thank you for satisfying my curiosity. 🙂

From what I have read online, Firewire does not work well with Windows 10.  Most people end up using dedicated capture devices that connect via USB ports. There are examples of what I mean in the following search that I did on Google.

A PCIe x1 firewire adapter would be suitable. Choose one that states that it supports Windows 10.

There are some examples at the following NewEgg,com web page.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=PCIe+x...

I can't specifically recommend any simply because I do not use firewire.

Please satisfy my curiosity and tell me what are you using that needs a firewire port?

Is it a camera from  the 80's or 90's?
