4600n can't find driver for windows 7

Is there a solution to install my HP 4600n laser jet to my new computer running windows 7?  I can not find a driver.

Hi:

Did you try using the Vista driver?

Normally they work on Windows 7.

Yes I tried Vista and nothing happens.  I am running windows 7 64 bit, I see on this website http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=HP%20Col...

that is compatible, but requires a free download..which is not available on the HP website.

Hi:

When you click on that free download link, it send you right back to the link I posted.

I don't know what you are supposed to do.

Did you try to manually add the printer?  Click on the windows button, then go to control panel, hardware and sound, click on the printers section, click on add a printer, add a local printer, use the existing port, a window will open and populate with manufacturers. Select HP and then on the right side of the window will the different models listed. Scroll down to find your model. Click on it, and then click Next and see if it installs that way.
