Adding USB 3.0 to HP Pavilion Elite HPE 467c

I had purchased an external USB 3.0 hard drive and wondering if it will work with my HP Pavilion Elite HPE 467c by adding a USB 3.0 adatper card to PCI Express Slot. If it does, do I need to do anything to my system besides installing the new USB 3.0 driver? Please help and thanks very much!

Yes, installing a USB 3.0 adapter will work in your computer. The USB 3.0 adapter allow faster transfer speeds between your external HD and your computer when compare to the native USB 2.0 ports. All you need to do is install card, boot the system and install the drivers. The only other thing to deal with is, maybe, connecting a HDD, floppy, or SATA power connector the USB 3.0 card.

Thanks! And will my other USB 2.0 ports still work the same? I just want to make sure that doesn't disable any of my ports.
