I am the owner of a HP Compaq Elite 8300 CMT with a HP BIOS

K01 V 02.90 16/07/2013

 

I want to install a virtual xp machine and I need the hardware-assistant virtualization option

I run the diagnistic tool, and the result are ,,enable HAV in the BIOS''

But I can't find this option

Don't support the BIOS this or I am to stuppid to find it

Please help me

Dear Customer,

 

Welcome to the HP Consumer Support Forum!!

 

The only options availble in BIOS is to enable/disable Virtualization Technology (VTx) and Virtualization Technology Drected I/O (VTd).

 

If you wish to enable/disable the above options, please boot the unit to BIOS > Security > System Security > Virtualization Technology (VTx) > enable/disable > save the changes and exit.
