Booting from Linux Live CD.

Hi - Can anyone help me with booting from a CD.

PC: Compaq CQ2960EA

Bios: AMI v11.2.15.1226

OS: Windows 8 64 bit

I need to boot a linux live cd. Cannot find an option to set CD as first boot device in the BIOS. Have tried turning secure boot off and selecting legacy device as a boot option but it gives the message cannot select without turning secure boot off. I thought I had done it. checked and I had. I think it is a UEFI problem either that or HP have buggerd the BIOS so you cant do it.

Thanks for any help.

Re: Booting from Linux Live CD.

I found this for an HP laptop: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01443326&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en

Something similar maybe for a desktop.
