After all this, it looks like I'm going to be getting a 670 anyway. The only 672's on eBay are in China and I'm not going through that again. (Shutters)

I bought two of the 672's from the eBay China source, the $32 ones.  No problem with either, and delivery time was reasonable.

I have four DC7100CMTs.

Boxes 1 & 2 have the 672s, and Zalman CNPS9900 FHSs and at 100% CPU load they run 60-61°C -- the 670 & 672 has a TDP of 115w!  I'd tried cooling with the Zalman CNPS7000-cu but under full load the CPU was above 75°C.

Box 3 has the 670 (no VT) with the CNPS7000, and I don't load it at 100% 24/7 like I do the others, so I'm getting away with a HSF that's really less than ideal.

Box 4 has the 650 (3.4Ghz) with the OEM FHS, because it only had a TDP of 84w, same as the 3.0Ghz OEM CPU.  The CNPS7000 is a quieter cooler than the OEM FSH (when under full load and spun up), and eventually I'll upgrade this box to a 7000 too -- the LGA775 adapter is the expensive part of the 7000.
