Hello there,
About two days ago my desktop PC, suddenly one morning simply would not turn on. I took quite a few hours, exchanging chords, thinking that it was the chord that didn't work but I've came to the conclusion that the PC's power supply isn't working, I'm not entirely sure and my warranty has expired.
It was a HP pavilion s3400f desktop computer, and my parents bought it about three and a half years back. I called best buy to see what they think the problem is and they agree that they think the problem is the power supply. That being said, they told me they dont carry the slimline model power supplies anymore and that I would have to purchase a new one. I am wondering if this is a common issue among those who've bought this product? If so, what kind of power supply units are compatible with my computer.
Thank you for your help,
Christian Armstrong
PS: PLEASE if you can, respond to me by email asap(before my parents have a hissy fit on me
), as I am unable to check this website except every 2 days because of my schools limiting on time with the computers.

Christian, welcome to the forum.
I couldn't reply to you using your email address because the Moderators removed it to protect you. However, the most replaced component in a computer is the power supply unit (PSU). This happens due to the stress placed on it every time we boot the computer. The PSU in the computer is only 160W. They can be very difficult to find. However, here is an upgrade PSU that should work for you. I have never done any business with this company. I suggest doing some research before buying from them.
