DVD firmware for HP Pavilion a6826f Desktop PC will not update using the software provided at HP

I was trying to update the firmware/software for the DVD/CD burner on my HP Pavilion a6826f Desktop PC using the downloads provided on the support page.  I have a Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit system.  When I try to run the update, I get the error message that my system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update - update has been cancelled. (9966)  I don't understand why I'm getting this error...any help will be appreciated.

You didn't mention why you are trying to update the firmware on your DVD drive or what DVD drive is in your HP computer. Please post the DVD drive information from the Windows "Device Manager", so we know exactly what DVD drive is in your computer. If it is not a HLDS GH40L or HLDS GH15L, the firmware updates aren't meant for your drive and the system won't allow the updates to be installed.
