Desktop HP Pavilion M8000, Frozen at HP Logo, PSU Beeping Sound

Hi. My HP Pavilion Desktop wont boot. It is stock at the HP Logo and I can hear a beeping sound from the PSU not from the motherboard. I just replaced the 300W PSU to a new 600W PSU but the beeping sound still remains and still at frozen HP logo at startup.
I already tried cleaning and re-inserting all wires and memory modules but still has the problem.
What else could be wrong?
What does the beep sound from the PSU means?

Thank you.

If the beeping sound is coming from the PSU then contact the PSU manufacturer.

Did the PC beep before you replaced the PSU?

If the beeping is coming from the PC then review the HP beep codes. HP BIOS beep codes.

Try this procedure and see if you can isolate the issue. Trouble Shooting Power Supply Issues. Don’t skip any steps.

i'll check the troubleshooting link.  will post back the results.

For the PSU sound.  the older PSU was also giving out the beep sound that is why I had replaced it with a new one this afternoon and as soon as I plugged it in and power up the HP logo is frozen the the new PSU has this beep sound, 11 buzz sounds to be exact.

Thanks.

Look over those bios beep codes.

My PSU has no LED that I can check the flash modes.  I had checked the wires and all fans from the PSU, CPU and chassis are rotating.

Re: Desktop HP Pavilion M8000, Frozen at HP Logo, PSU Beeping Sound

I have an HP Pavilion M8307c model.

I know there is a difference between the codes that sounds off from the board and the buzz sound like from the PSU.

Re: Desktop HP Pavilion M8000, Frozen at HP Logo, PSU Beeping Sound

I had found a link on how to clear the CMOS.  I had moved the jumper from orig position for 5-1o secs and even removed the CMOS battery but still did not work.

When I was doing this there is no power connected to the motherboard.

Thanks.

Try the PC on a differnet electrical outlet without using a power strip.

Those 11 beeps do show up under the HP bios beep codes.

Re: Desktop HP Pavilion M8000, Frozen at HP Logo, PSU Beeping Sound

I connected the PC to a direct outlet and still the same problem exists.  I know that the 11 buzz/beep sound that comes out of the PSU is not in the HP beep codes

The HP logo is frozen, I can press F10 for the Setup but after indicating that it is enterning setup, it just stays there too.

Thanks.  Smiley Sad
