Function plus "B" for added bass for Beats Audio no longer works after updating system

HP Pavilion DV7-6193ca
Serial: [Personal Information Removed]
Prod. Number: a3j04ua
Windows 7 64 bit

 

Windows update completely installed automatically, also went on HP support site to scan and auto update computer. Function/  B key no longer gives access to bass control. Computer is brand new.

Hi,

 

Try downloading and reinstalling HP Quick Launch Buttons on the link below.

 

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55150.exe

 

After the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

 

If the above procedure fails to correct the problem, try using Recovery Manager to reinstall the IDT HD Audio Driver ( this will also reinstall the Beats Audio interface ) - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the document on the link below.

After the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook again.
