I believe this something to do with the laws rather than HP. In some countries you can even replace cars but in many countries that's it, vendors can repair for consumers/buyers but not replace.

Thank you. We contacted our lower already, that's how upset we are. He said that if their policy states, that they are going to repair, we couldn't win the case, if we would try to sue them. In Russia (I'm Russian) - I'm sure I would have my money back or new computer already. But here - it's unbeleivable, what is happening. We are communicate with HP for two weeks already, trying ro send the computer back. They sent us a box, which would not fit the computer properly. And later, when we informed them that box would not fit, they sent us a return label - who knows why. THe computer is stll here, and not working. I never would have beleived if somebody would have told me before that something like this could happen here.
