Graphic card memory of Pavilion p7-1010A

Hi,

Recently I have bought a Pavilion p7-1010A desktop. The 'System Information' shows that its graphic card has 1GB for adaptor RAM however, it is supposed to have 3GB memory. The' System Information' also show that CD-Rom is DVD writer, while it should be blue ray writer.

I am wondering if my understanding from "System Informationn" is right and there is a problem with my PC configuration.

Where does the "System Information" come from (which product)?

Regards.

Re: Graphic card memory of Pavilion p7-1010A

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs page.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03054470&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...

It lists everything you say it should have...Blu-ray, video card with 3 GB of onboard memory...

You can get more information by going to the device manager. Click on the DVD/CD ROm drives section and you will see the model of the device listed. If it doesn't say Blu-Ray in the description, google what you see there and see what comes up.

Also you can look at the face plate of the drive and look for the blu-ray symbol.

Video...Go to control panel>system. Then go to the windows experience index section. Look at the detailed report and it will show the dedicated GPU memory and available system memory for your video card.
