Hi banzaigtv,
Look over the Corsair CX600. It has the power needed for then GTX 680 and the physical dimensions make it an excellent fit for the HP cabinet.

Hi,
Your PC has a 300 watt power supply. The Corsair CX500 or CX600 are excellent choices.
If you don't ever plan on adding a big video card then the Corsair CX430 would be sufficient. On sale for $25 after rebate.

Hi there, I have recently purchased an HP Envy h8-1534 and replaced the Radeon HD 7570 with a Radeon R7770 Ultra OC. The card runs great but while playing certain games like Starcraft 2 or Call of Duty the computer will freeze and turn off and then turn back on. I believe this is related to the power supply not being sufficient so I have purchased a Thermaltake sp-850m( 850 watt psu ). The problem I am having is that I can not get the machine to boot with this new power supply. I have already returned one of these power supplies thinking that the psu was defective but I am having the same problem now with the second one. The computer still runs with the old power supply hooked up so I don't think it has anything to do with the hardware. I have read reviews on Bestbuys website where other users have said they have replaced the power supply in this machine. Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the power supply and if so what I can try to resolve my current issue?

Hi Eveon710,
HP PCs have been known not to power up with a high wattage (over 650 watts) power supply.
Try a power supply in the 500 to 600 watt range. The Corsair CX500 or CX600 are excellent choices.
The AMD R7770 is only a lower to middle range video card. You will have to run your games on the middle settings to get decent performance provided you are not using some insane monitor resolution settings.
See if you can get your PC to boot using the old card and a 500-600 watt power supply. If that works then proceed with the installation of the new video card.
If you want those games to fly then consider a AMD 7850 video card. If you go this route then be sure to measure inside and make sure that the new card will fit.

Hi,
I am upgrading my power supply as the 250W PSU installed as purchased is insufficient to my video card requirements. I note that the installed PSU interface is a 22 pin termination, whereas the replacement PSU I have is 24 pin interface. The mother board ATX power interface is 24 pins. Is it ok for me to install the new Corsair 24pin 450W ATX PSU to the motherboard using the full interface or will I have to find a PSU with a 22 pin ATX?
Thanks for your time, hope you can help.
