HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH15L dvd recorder

Hi,  I have the HP dvd recorder HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH15L in my computer. 

1.  While trying to discover why ,after burning a DVD+ or - with Nero 9,  my Pioneer DVD-RW player says " unable to read or incompatible".   I put the DVD that I copied back into the computer and it plays fine.   

Nero 9 TOOLS can't access the disk when I try to INFO the disc or when I click FINALIZE, Nero 9 can't access and says "MEDIA un-supported".   

I used ImageBurn to access my 

HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH15L  and it stated

RPC scheme:RPC phase II

Region: none

vendor resets available:4

Regions supported : none

Media regions supported 1 thru 8.

When I used ImageBurn to try to close or make sure the DVD was closed (finalized),  it stated

CDB:5b 00 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

Interpretation: close track/session

sense area: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0a 5b 05 00 0c 24 00 00 cd 00 02

Interpretation: Invalid Field in CDB

Does this info give anyone ideas what maybe causing my DVDs to be un-finalized or incompatible in my DVD player?

Is this a video dvd disc or data dvd disc that you burned?

Also, did u check the Close Disc checkbox in Nero before burning?

Hi,   thank you for your reply.

I was burning a video DVD disc,  (sony+maxell).    FYI,  I have used Nero 6 in the past and now have used Nero 9 for 4 months.

I re-set my Pioneer DVD-RW Model-VRW-2104.  No help there. (says "can't read" or incompatible".)

In Nero 9,  I'm using Author,Edit,capture video, then Nero Vision to make video, or import video files.

I don't see a CLOSE button anywhere in Nero 9---not in Editing area , Title Area, review menu page , or the burn page.

I have the HP Pavilion s3720y. and installed the firmware update HPsp43071.exe.
