HP 6310 Scanning

Can someone please tell me how to scan multiple pages into one document? preferably using the feeder but if I have to place each page on the glass that's okay, as long as I get ONE document, not several separate docs. I have set it to prompt for additional pages but it's not doing it so clearly I am missing something.
