HP P6130Y: Secondary hard drive does not show up in Windows Vista - 64 Bit

I installed second SATA hard drive in my HP 6130Y, a 1 TB WD Black. IT shows up during boot, appears in the BIOS Main page, passes HP PC-Doctor tests, and BIOS SMART tests.

 

But it doesn't show up in Windows Vista 64-Bit.

 

My current configuration is setup as follows:

 

  • SATA1 - Seagate 750 GB SATA drive
  • SATA2 - DVD
  • SATA3 - new WD 1TB drive.
  • SATA1 Controller Mode is set to RAID.

Hi,

 

Go to Administrative Tools --->Computer Management ---->Disk Management and fully expand the screen.

 

Now look for the new hard drive, right mouse click on it if you see it and then initialize and format the new hard drive.
