HP PROLIANT ML350 G5 PSU?

Hi all, i have been given an ml350 g5 to help with my MCITP exams. However the PSU seems to be dead therefore the server will not power up.

The red lights on the front panel LED display told me to look on the system board for further error lights, so i did this only to find the PPM 2 LED lit. From what i can see there is no PPM 2 card in the slot therefore i assume this must be a PSU iisue.

Does anyone know where i can get a PSU for the prolian ml350 g5? I am really struggling and this is a shame as the server is perfect apart from this! I dont want to have to buy a full new server if i can help it.

I am from the UK therefore would rather purchase goods from the UK but will consider purchasing from the states if required.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

hyperNoddy,

Ok, I enjoyed the challenge. Now, it's your turn. It's a ,mandantory part for the unit.

The missing component PPM module is a Processor Power Module for the 2nd Processor.

See here for an example:http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c00324649&lang=en&cc=us&taskI...

See here for a full maintenance manual: http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00708990/c00708990.pdf

Strict attention to pgs 49-54 and 79.

Parts list: See item 13: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=125&prodSeriesId=...

part: http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=413980-001

google prices were $39-81.

It's nice to be given stuff, but did it work before you hauled it away?
