HP Pavilion 500-035ed without Firewire / 1394

Hello,

My new HP Pavilion 500-035ed desktop doesn't have a Firewire / 1394 connection. My digital camera doesn't support USB for uploading AVI-files.

Therefore I don't know how to connect my digital camera...

  • Does anyone know alternatives for Firewire?
  • Do Firewire -> USB 3.0 adapters exist?
  • If I want to buy a Firewire card, what internal connector should I use?

The HP Pavilion 500-035ed contains a Joshua motherboard: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=120&prodSeriesId=...

Thanks in advance,

PCIEx1 firewire 1394a and 1394b cards do exist. Examples in the US
