HP S2031 monitor going to sleep

When I am playing games (World of Tanks), or try to run a simulator(Space Shuttle, Trains, etc), the monitor goes black and message, "monitor going to sleep" appears and the monitor shuts off. Is this a monitor or PC problem? The monitor stays on all the time if I am just browsing the web. Thanks.

Re: HP S2031 monitor going to sleep

This is none of the problem.

Goto Control Panel>Power Options and change the settings.

Wish you luck,

Re: HP S2031 monitor going to sleep

Sir,

The settings are set to "never" on when the monitor goes to sleep, and it still goes to sleep.  Thanks

Re: HP S2031 monitor going to sleep

I found my ptoblem. It was not the monitor at all, but the PC. I took ther side of the PC off and saw that there was a wire that had come loose and and had fallen onto the fan of the videp card. The fan could not turn, so the card would heat up and stop sending the signal to the monitor.
