After the last HP Product Assistant updated the wireless adapter, it can't find the gateway IP address - I've supposedly rolled back the the previous driver, but it still requires the diagnostic tool to set it right. Every time. What can I do the reset the adapter to pick up the right IP address?

How and why do you have a fixed address for wireless? Setup your wireless for obtain an ip address automatically and obtain a dns automatically. Are you on a work network?

Do you mean you cannot ping the default gateway when you say you can't ping? Also try to check first if you are really connected to the network because if you are, then you should be able to ping it.
And yes, make sure yu're on DHCP. ![]()
