HP TrueVision HD webcamera is not working properly

My HP TrueVision HD web camera is not working after about 2 months of use as well as my microphone. It was really sudden, one day it was working fine and the next, it wasn't. It says I should close any other program that might be using my webcam, so i do, and it doesn't help. It also said that it might be turned off, but then i cant find it listed anywhere on my hard drive! I don't know what the problem is here but if you can help that would be very kind of you. Thank You.

i have the same problem on my dv7... after much searching it seems common that the lead internally can come loose so best to contact where you bought it from and see if they will replace it or repair... if not then you will have to contact the manufacturer

EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM, 2 MONTH OLD LAPTOP - HALF WAY ROUND THE WORLD AND CANT SKYPE HOME. NOT AMUSED HP!

my camera just keeps lagging and being blured how do i stop this
