HP s3200n - Video card?

Has anyone been able to find a video card that will fit in the s3200n slimline set up, AND clear the 160 watt psu?

Or if you have one of these and got a card in there, what did you do, and where did you find the parts?

For the slimlines you need a Low-profile video card which has a low profile bracket for it to fit. Problem is 160W isn't all that powerful but there should be some cards and even if they need 200W or more you can still run them.

Re: HP s3200n - Video card?

I have a slimline 3321 (same small power source) and installed a low profile PNY nVidia 8400 GS low profile card with 256mb...Works great, but I would even consider the same card with the 512 mb if you have upgraded memory over 2GB if you are running video publishing software.

In fact, I replaced the factory installed memory with some really inexpensive ($29) dual channel 2x1GB sli nVidia compatible memory sticks (the same size capacity as the original) but PC 6400 instead of 5300 listed in the factory specs and my Vista performance rating went up .9 of a point.  The power is a concern, but I have had this model for almost a year and haven't had a problem.

Check tigerdirect or newegg.  Search for low profile video cards in your search.
