Heat build-up ?

Recently up-graded the memory to max. of 16GB.

My machine is a p6720f. Installed Corsair mem. 4 x 4GB. each.

Don't use it for gaming or anything intense.

I'm kinda wondering if I should do something about the extra heat, if any the new mem. puts out .

Should the fans be replaced with larger capacity fans, or should I add extra fans ?

Any thoughts would be great.

      Thank's

Re: Heat build-up ?

Hi,

I don't think there is any need to modify your cooling - adding extra ( or more dense ) memory modules will only generate a little extra heat and this may even be offset by the PC accessing the Hard Drive less so reducing the heat output from this component.

Re: Heat build-up ?

Hello,

  Thank's for the quick reply.

So even though these have the extra heat sinks on them, I should not have to worry about heat build-up ?

Re: Heat build-up ?

Hi,

That's right, any additional heat produced will be minimal and well within the cooling capability of your PC.
