Can anyone tell me why my Hp x2301 monitor wont acknowledge the hdmi signal from my xbox or laptop, I turn it on, and then it searches for a signal, and then goes to sleep after finding nothing it's about 2 weeks old

Hello desk, Can you advise if you have a HDMI cable connected to the other devices, or at least an VGA to HDMI adapter connected to the HDMI cable?

 

Not all XBOS systems support HDMI. You also might try selecting the HDMI port manually.
