Hello All,
I need to know what power supply is used for a HP Pavilion Slimline 3600 that has an AMD Quad Core CPU.
The stock 180watt slimline power supply will not work with a Quad Core.
If you can help, Please advise the model number of the correct power supply.
Thanks

Please provide the complete and accurate HP model number and/or HP product that can be found on a sticker on the side, bottom, or back of the computer.

Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion Slimline s3600f Desktop Computer. According to the specs, your system has a 160 watt power supply and Intel Socket 775 Pentium E2180 CPU. No AMD CPU will ever fit or work in your system. Please explain in detail what you are trying to do.

Frank
Thanks for the help.
I may have been mistaken. I have 3 computers and the Slimline is at a friend of mine who is trying to help me out by fixing it.
Currently when I turn on the computer the HD light, on the front of the case, blinks once and then it goes to the DVD/CD drive and this just blinks on and off.
The HD lights does not come back on and my monitor remains dark. It is on but nothing comes to screen.
I have tried pressing the "F" keys to make the computer go to CMOS but the monitor remains dark.
My friend says the PS is fried or the motherboard.
I am starting by replacing the PS since is the cheapest alternative.

Adding to Frank's comment.
The 160W PSU # is 5188-7520. There are upgrades (220W) here:http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&cp=10
The slimlines use a non-standard sized unit, with an unique mini-ATX motherboard connector. Use caution when making that purchase.
To say THANK YOU, press the white star on the left, to render a KUDO.

PS--You can render both Solution and KUDO
