I thought my computer came with a Disc writer to produce DVD's

I have a Windows 7  computer that recently purchased and it is saying I do not have a Disc Writer to produce DVD's - how can that be?

I specifically stated I would be doing Videos and besides don't they come with this tos start with?

Hi,

 

What is your machine ? Nowadays nearly all machines have DVD writers EXCEPT for some smaller laptop/notebook/netbook models, because they do not have room (physically) for an optical drive.
