Keyboard Issue: Have to press a while in order to type a letter

Hello Keyboard Gurus,

 

I have HP Presario Desktop (SR1020NX) and lately the keyboard is working funny. Not sure this is due to the aging of my computer (as I still use Windows XP) or something that my kids explored!

 

Anyway, the issue I see is that in order to type a letter, I have to keep pressing that letter key. Would you kindly let me know if there is any setting that can return back to the normal typing speed as it was before.

 

I have tried to update the BIOS, and the keyboard driver but so far there is no success.
