Looking for USB Ports on the front of my desktop for my ipod

my model is HP P7-1044  , Windows 7

 

I'm looking on the front of  my pc  for  somewhere with easy access to reload my ipod  . so my question is can you only  hook up  all devices that need a  USB Port at  the back of my pc. only. I  don't understand  what  sd/mmc ,xd/smart media and compact flash are for.

sd/mmc, xd/smart media and compact flash are types of external media cards that are used by digital cameras and some multimedia (MP3) players and recorders.

Your system has the following front ports so that you can connect your ipod:

  • USB 2.0: 2
  • Microphone: 1
  • Headphone: 1

thankyou so much and i  believe i know what the problem is . there are two buttons,  one on the top to open the cd tray and the other is supposed to open the expansion tray  and my button stays stuck inside or doesn't do anything when i click on it. i bought it as a floor model  from future shop so i will  have to take it back if that's the case. I tried  opening that up with my hands .
