Monitor randomly shuts off (computer still on)

Hello, I have a problem with my hp computer. The monitor randomly shuts off when im doing anything either playing games or surfing the web. I have had my video card replaced once under this computers warranty which I think was due to overheating im not entirely sure and I don't think it has anything to do with my monitor.

 

My computer specs are:

 

HP Pavilion Elite HPE-360uk

Intel Core i7-860

8GB Ram

NVIDIA GT230

Windows 7 Home Premium x64

HP S2331a (Monitor)

 

What I have tried so far:

Restarting the computer

Checked cable connections (VGA)

Turning the monitor off and on

 

My computer is still under warranty and I have the latest drivers from NVIDIA.

 

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
