Help I need to replace my HP Pavilion Elite e9120y mother board. Will the Asus Pegatron M2N78-LA Violet3-GL8E Motherboard 9100 AM3 HP? The HP site calls for same number for the replace, M2N78-LA Violet3-GL8E. However the picture on the site has an additional expansion slot and the battery is in a different location. I want to be sure before I order the new board.
Thank you.

While not exactly recommending this for you, but I would look here:
Much more likely to get one exactly as yours (picturewise) but mostly cheaper then buying from HP.

Hello zainshsan, Here is the link for the specifications for your computer.
Here is the link for the HP Parts Store where the part number can be found for your motherboard.
The part Number is RX890-69001
This motherboard seems to not be available directly from HP, but instead of an authorized Dealer.
I checked on the cost of this motherboard in the US and it sells for around $300.00 USD. I'm not sure the computer is worth the price plus shipping and then the installation cost.
I hope this information can help in locating a motherboard.
Please click the White Kudos star on the left, to say thanks.

recomend: obtain mobo (motherboard) model # directly off board (will be the largest numbers/letters silk screened on board) then use google to search this board for exact replacement by oem (original equipment mfg.) usually in china. may be listed as: new/refurgished/used. inexpensive if computer is worth going in this direction. get help from friend if need be. not hard to install first draw up a diag./schematic of where the wires/cables go to before disassembling (important). gain knowledge of how to eliminate static electricity charges before handling electronic components (voltages range from 12v, 5, 3v. when operating). down to 1.5 v on my gamer dsk top ram boards. gl butch c.
