Motherboard wont recognize any hhd or dvd drive

Plz help! I have a hp pavilion a6720y and I just replaced the power supply. Now when i try to boot up it says no drives r connected.

Did you check to make sure you plugged in your hard drive completely?  Check to make sure its plugged into the motherboard and that the power line to it is completely connected.  If it is plugged in fully, is there a green light on your motherboard?

This may be a silly question, but did you connect the SATA power connectors to the HDD's and DVD drive?

 

Forgetting that little detail will certainly cause what you have reported as an issue to happen.

Yes I've checked all the wires and the motherboard has a green light!

You may have fallen victim of the infamous M2N78-LA Violet problem. Which version of the board do you have?

The are different versions of the board. Pegatron is the manufacturer code.

It is more likely a blown board.
