My Pc is very noisy. A very high pitched (I can only feel it) tone gives me a headache. I changed the hard drive and power supply but the noise is still there. The PC is on the floor to my left and when it has been turned on for about 15 minutes i begin to feel a headache in the left part of my head. When I turn the Pc off remains the high pitched tone in my head like tinnitus. When I wake up in the morning is the noise in my head gone. What can I do?
Peter

Hi Peter,
Unplug the PC and monitor when you go to bed at night. If you wake up now the noise is still there then look for another device that may be causing the problem. Else, seek advice from a medical professional.
If yuo are using an old CRT style monitor then the monitor might be causing the possible high pitch whine.

I have changed the systemboard and the noise was gone I thought. Now HP will change the systemboard as well as the processor but first they have to consult an engineer in India. I should have kept my dc7800CMT.![]()
