Audio buzzes: Have tried the following:
1) new cables
2) different speakers
3) installing 1394 and M-Audio Firewire (which I needed on the system anyway)
4) new power supply (in case it was grounding fault) (but I needed this also, for larger graphics card)
Do I need to replace the MB?

Sorry, the system is an H8-1214, stock except for the two cards mentioned (1394 PCI-Ex1 & GTX-550) and the 700 W Thermotake power supply. But, as stated, the system has made the same noise through the speakers since new...

I do see that you have made changes to your PC in regards to addition of graphics cards and power supply.
In regards to the issue, is the noise coming from headphones?

My speakers are $700 a pair KRKs, but I've also tried this system with the Bose system from my other system with the same noise. I've tried buying a $22 pro gold tip cable (which also failed). I've tried hooking in a 1394 firewire card and running the speakers directly from an M-Audio firewire breakout box. Nothing helps. The noise is minimal, but this is being used in a recording studio application (and I have other issues with this machine..actually the OS). My wife recommended going Mac this time around. I guess she was right. This is my second AMD hex. The first one's noise was so bad and the system had so many problems that the other company's tech support was so poor with that we ended up cancelling our credit card purchase and sending back the machine. We own three HP desktops (including this one) and an HP laptop. I have come to expect a WHOLE LOT more from HP than what this current lemon is giving. (I have other threads on here as well, and other issues I'm still trying to take care of myself.)
Anyway, in answer to your question, yes the sound is corrupt in multiple speakers with multiple cables and other options AND in the headphones. Although using the headphones will give me a clean sound while recording (no external noise being generated into the mix!) Thanks at least for that kernel.

Is this a support forum? A week without any suggestioons or questions...I assume I am correct and the problem is in the Mother Board (guess I'll spell it out for the techs who couldn't figure out what MB meant). Obviously we're trying to wait out the warranty period so HP doesn't have to deal with their problems. I really have come to expect better from HP.
