Hey guys, I recently bought an HP Pavilion HPE h8-1214. I play games through Steam and I really wasn't getting the good performance that I want, so I looked into getting a new graphics card, but with the 300 watt power source I couldn't find anything much better. I'm going to get a new power source to install in the computer, but I don't really know much about how they would fit, whether it would be compatible, etc. My price limit is about $115, but I'll go higher if there is a particular one that you would recommend. I was looking at this one(the 750 watt one): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LB5AZY/ref=as

CC, welcome to the forum.
You made a great choice of the power supply unit (PSU). The brands that I recommend are Corsair and OCZ. Both are manufactured with the gamer in mind. It will give you clean, stable power for your system. It will also give you many more choices of video cards. I suggest measuring the current PSU and comparing the measurements to the the one that you chose. This will assure that it will fit into the space provided without any problems.

Does it matter if the measurements are a little bit off from what I currently have? (just asking haven't checked yet)

CC, if it is a bit larger, you should assure that there is enough space surrounding the current PSU to allow for the difference in size. If it will fit, there is no problem with the size. Normally, there is not enough of a difference to matter.
