Beckysma, you are definitely on the correct track.  I can't speak to the quality of the card, but it should work fine.  First, however, follow the steps suggested by wb2001.  If it still appears that the video has failed, the card should be fine.

Thank you for performing the tests. It confirms you have power. The upgrade manual should assist you in the installation of the graphic card.

OK, I have one more question - the computer is SO much quieter now.  Before, I presume because the video was going bad, It had periods of sounding like an airplane reving up to take off.

 

If the graphics were integrated, as opposed to a graphics card with a fan, what was with all the noise?
