Pavilion G5470SC Firewire and Win 7 compatibility ?

Greetings, I am the happy owner of a Win7 64 bit G5470SC desktop kit, works just fine but as I am going to do some with with Pinnacle Studio to transfer some old DV movies from my Panasonic GS120 Camcorder (ca 2004) - I need a firewire adapter. This computer model does not have one as standard.

A Firewire/IEEE card is cheap here in Sweden, ca 20 USD, BUT I understand that this computer only has available slot positions for so called PCI Express cards ? The cards I am considering to buy all have PCI standard, not Express. Does anyone know the difference and can I fit a PCI card into an Express slot ?  If not, I'd appreciate some hints on compatible PCI Express FireWire cards that can work with the computer under Win 7 x 64.

Cards such as these from Newegg.com should give you a good start. Of course you will need to find a local retailer or online source.

Many thanks for helpful hints, I bought a new PCI Express IEEE 1394 card last night and plugged it into the box, worked on the first attempt. As always, HP community has the best service!
