I am planning to upgrade the computer case/videocard/psu.
Can I transfer all the existing computer parts on the stock hp case to a new case or i can't?
This is the case im planning to get http://www.frys.com/product/5520150?site=sr
EARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
Videocard: http://www.frys.com/product/5851543?site=sr
EARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
PSU:http://www.frys.com/product/5016455?site=sr
EARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
ARe all these parts compatible with the current hardware of the computer?

Hi,
The new case should work. The problem, or maybe not really an issue, that you will run into is that you will not be able to get an I/O backplate that will fit. Take a look at the stickies in desktop computers --> hardware and take a read.
The video card is fine. It doesn't require PCI-e power connectors.
Your PSU link doesn't work. Corsair makes high quality PSUs at a reasonable price.
regards,
erico

Hi,
There is no sticky specifically about an I/O backplate. That would actually be a bit of a waste of time.
My explanation is personal knowlege gleaned through experience.
Normally, people put a fresh manufacturers motherboard out of the box into a new case.
Motherboards come with I/O backplates as an accessory to use in PC enclosures (cases).
What you are doing is not standard so...unless the backplate will come off of your HP case you just won't have a backplate.
Backplates are configured to match port and input locations the rear of a motherboard.
Most of them are slightly different.
I hope that I have clarified it for you.
regards,
erico
