Hello
My system is custom built but two of my main HDDs are from HP (it has the HP firmware HP24). They are both Seagate 750GB drives. The problem is, one of them is making constant clicking noises so I needed to figure out if there is a fix or if it had to be RMA'd. I contacted Seagate first and they said I had to RMA it and they also told me that I had to contact HP for it. Not having an HP PC, am I stuck with a dying HDD or is there any way I can send it in for replacement?I called HP Canada (I'm in Toronto) and the guy said he can't help me because my system isn't from HP. ![]()
So, is there any way to fix the clicking noise (Seagate support doesn't seem to think so) or any way to have my drive replaced or am I completely out of luck?
Thanks.

You're toast if you didn't purchase the drive from an authorized HP dealer. You gambled and lost this time. I don't buy a 2nd-hand hard drive or a drive without mfr's warranty.
