Registry Errors [ Edited ]

The commercial product "Reg Cure"  finds a large number of Registry errors wheras HP Health Check finds zero errors. Should I just ignore the findings by "Reg Cure" - and not waste money buying that product to "fix errors"?

Reg Cure, aka (Trash my PC) is only detecting registry errors in effort to get you to buy their trash. If your not having problems then you don't have registry errors that are worth the trouble of trying to remove.

You can use this scanner from Microsoft and it's free and will fix 99.9% of any real registry errors.

Perform the scan and then it will prompt you to clean registry errors. Click YES.

Your link doesn't work.  I went to RegCure.com and it won't support 64-Bit.

Try JV16 Power Tools.  It also has a registry compactor tool.

The registry is like a data base. When software is installed and removed often times the registry is left with "stubs" or empty spaces many times containing dead information. These are not so problematic and can be easily cleaned out. Disconnected pointers are the big problems and some registry tools are good at fixing these issues. Some registry cleaners will delete out pointer and elements that are legitimate and then problems will surface.

I have several hundred registry errors. I desparately need a solution. one i can trust that will do the job that does'nt  require a lot of money.  Is there a way i can do it my self?
