My m9430f is starting to get a noisy CPU fan (first the GPU, now the CPU!). I'm looking to replace it and I see it's a screw down style. Will any screw down style cooler for an LGA775 fit? I'd prefer not to have to take the computer apart to replace the retention plate (or remove it if I went to the snap down style).
If I end up having to replace/remove the retention plate is it easy to get at the other side without having to remove the entire mobo tray?
The stock is an evercool cooler, but no luck trying to bind a replacement using my google-fu.
Right now I'm looking at the:
GELID Solutions Slim Silence 775 75mm Ball CPU Cooler

Just an update:
I ended up getting a Dynatron K987 Universal CPU Cooler For Intel LGA 1156 / 1366 / 775. It uses a screw down mount and it fit right into the existing stock screw down plate. This was nice as I didn't have to fuss around with removing the plate for the new cooler or a switch to tab style cpu coolers (which many claim aren't as good as screw down).
I picked it up at a local Micro Center so I could return it if it didn't work, but you can find it online at some eggcellent stores.
