I need to put a USB 3.0 card into my Slimline for use with external hard drives. The cards I've seen require the old style 4-pin power connectors. The Slimline is very compact and it's hard to see where I might put a splitter or connector.
Any suggestions about the source of the appropriate connector and where it plugs into the Slimline?

Hi,
Are you sure that the power supply in the slimline is big enough to handle the USB 3.0 card?
You might look for a SATA Y cable and then a SATA to 4 pin adapter. These are examples so do some measuring to make sure that the length fit your needs.

I guess the better solution would be to buy an external drive enclosure that has its own 110v power cord. It's just that I hate having a spaghetti mess associated with the computer.
