SERIOUS BOOT PROBLEM WITH XW6000

HELLO EVERYONE,

I  thought I can solve any hardware problem until recently when I came across with my own PC xw6000.

I tried everything I could think of.

Here is the story.

When I press the start button the fans start spining  but I don't get a POST beep and on the screen there is one short blink with  start up page and then goes black again and does absolutely nothing.

Here is what I've done:

I tried different graphic card, I disconnected all PCI cards, I left only one working RAM module ( tried more too) disconnected both hard drives ( still no wornings that there is no bootable device ) replaced CMOS battery and finaly replaced the motherboard with two new processors and two new RAM modules.

Looks like the only thing which hasn't been replaced is power supply now.

i checked everything and I am just givin' up so if anyone could direct me anywhere I would be more that happy to offer him/her a whole track of chocolate!!!!!!!

Seriously, any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Dave

Re: SERIOUS BOOT PROBLEM WITH XW6000

Hi, Dave:

It would appear to me the only recourse you have is to try another power supply.

Is your front power light a different color than the norm (another color than green when it's on)?

If it is amber or red, that would indicate some kind of P/S issue to me.

Re: SERIOUS BOOT PROBLEM WITH XW6000

thank you Paul,

As a reason, would you consider grounding out the motherboard against anything..?

Re: SERIOUS BOOT PROBLEM WITH XW6000

You're welcome.

I don't quite understand your question.

I have only replaced one power supply in my life, and all I did was disconnect the plugs from the motherboard from the old one and reconnect the ones from the new one.

I did not follow any precautions regarding grounding the motherboard or the PC.

It cranked right up after I replaced the P/S.
