Slow scanning solved!

My Scanjet 5200C was very slow to open the software and quite balky about scanning. I reinstalled software, updated drivers, etc. - no help. Finally I unplugged the power cord for 15 minutes and when I plugged it back in, the scanner worked like new.! I think the bulb does better starting cool even though it takes longer to warm up.
