Trying to upgrade i3 550 to i5 750 processor on MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) with no success!!

Hi everyone!

 

I've got a HP Slimline 5740uk which is outfitted with a cumbersome i3 550 so I decided to get the i5 750 today on an impulse buy.. Tried to install it and my machine made 2 short beeps and one long beep, five times, it then made 2 slightly longer beeps and a very long beep and switched off, when I tried to turn it back on it did the latter beeps again and switched off... 

 

After a little research on here the beep code points to the graphics card, but when I installed the i3 back in, it works fine, got the same results doing two swap outs..!

 

Am I missing something? I'm hoping there's something I need to do on the motherboard maybe?
