USB 3.0 is not working on HP Pavilion 23 g010. Cannot find driver from HP site that will work. Can anyone please help as this is a new computer? Had Windows 8 installed but owner downgraded to Windows 7. I have tried the drivers that are supposed to work and the error box says "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software"...not sure what to do but would greatly appreciate any and all input..

Hi:

Your model has an AMD chipset and processor.  Accordingly, the Intel chipset driver will not work.

First, install the AMD chipset driver and reboot.

You want the 49.7MB file download.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows%207%20-%2064

If that does not install the USB 3.0 drivers (you see from the file that they are included), then download and install both of these drivers and the USB 3.0 will work for sure that way.

If there are any other drivers you need for that model, please let me know.

Assuming that no other drivers are missing HERE is the USB 3.0 driver for Windows 7 64bit only.  If this does not work, could it be that Windows 7 is 32bit?

Look at Device Manager for other items without drivers.

Thank you for your help Paul. As soon as I installed the AMD chipset driver it worked! All is well with the world now. :generic:

You're very welcome.

I also had this issue, thank you for the link to AMD.  I have a couple more related questions to this.  I also have a Pavilion 23-G010, and it's running Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit.  I have--and usually do--installed HP Support Assistant.  Only, when it launches it cannot find my computer's model or serial number.  It finds no updates.  Do I have a BIOS issue now that I'm running Windows 7?  Not sure what this means.
