I have an a6750f Pavilion HP PC. I've had it for about a year and a half (just outside warranty) and my computer will randomly shut down in the middle of me working on it. The power light is still on and my monitor simply says "Monitor going to sleep."
I know it is not the monitor because it does the same thing to other monitors and tv's when I hook them up. My speakers also terminate any sound that may have been playing when the "shutdown" occured, so I know the problem is somewhere in my tower. I always have to manually shut down my PC by hodling down the power button when this happens.
I don't know if it is my video card, power supply, a software issue, or what but it has been happening for a few months now. Unfortunately it is a great difficulty to get help from HP directly. My loyalty in the company is wavering. Is this a common problem? Anybody know anything or have suggestions? Thank you very much!
Zach
