I am upgrading the graphics card and power supply of my PC to make it more suitable for gaming. My question is what kind of motherboard is in the P7-1010 and will it support the graphics card and power supply.

Here are the specs for the p7-1010 computer and its HP N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX motherboard. This board is custom made for HP and not available in retail channels. The power supply may fit but without dimensions it is impossible to tell. The graphics card you have listed is not really meant for gaming and you will most likely be disappointed with it.
Two forum favorite power supplies are the Corsair CX500 and the CX600. I don't have a recommendation for a suitable graphics card but Big_Dave and/or others might.

Yeah I know its not the greatest for gaming but I figure it will be a big upgrade from the AMD Radeon HD 4200

xRekka, welcome to the forum.
Which of these is your actual model. This will allow us to tell you which motherboard is installed.
The video card and power supply unit (PSU) should work fine. However, if you are wanting to play any newer games, I would like to make some suggestions. I like XFX, BFG, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY video cards in that order. These are cards that are very good for gaming. I suggest staying under 9" in length. The XFX card in the link should be a step up from the one that you chose for little more money. Read the Customer Reviews. One of the users actually installed it into a computer like yours.
The PSU is the backbone of the computer. This is not the place to save money. Gaming requires clean, stable power. I like Corsair and OCZ. These are enthusiast / gamer manufacturers. The two in the links that I provided will give you the power that you need for gaming at a price that is comparable to the one in your link.
I like to use the forum as a learning tool, as well as, for helping solve problems. Learning how to pick quality products for a good price only comes with practice. I have been doing it for years. I have spent many hours on overclocker / gamer forums.

Look for the PRODUCT NUMBER on your computer's case and/or in the BIOS and compare to the list below;
BV703AA = p7-1010 Retail
LP008AV = p7-1010t CTO
LP010AV = p7-1010z CTO
If you live outside the USA, refer to the link in the previous post and compare your number to those product numbers found in the specs.

Also I do live in Canada so using New Egg isn't really an option. If you could possibly find a product on Canada Computers or something similar that is a good graphics card and is around the same price it would be really appreciated

xRekka, since it appears that you can buy from BestBuy.ca, I suggest looking at the specs on the PSU and video card that I recommended. You could buy a Corsair, Cooler Master or Antec PSU. They are good quality, also. Here is a video card that should work for you. It is a bit more expensive, but XFX is a great manufacturer. I have two of their cards.
Let us know if you have any more questions.
Good luck!
