HP Pavilion a767c
When I turn on my pc. The blue screen comes on, with the "HP" symble on it. I let it stay on for a 1/2 hour. Then I turn it off, and back on. Then it comes on. What causes that. Help!

Lellery, welcome to the forum.
These symptoms could be caused by several things. I suggest reseating the memory. Also, check all of the connections inside and out. If they are not tight this could be the cause. My suspect, however, is the power supply unit (PSU). A failing PSU can cause numerous problems. Here is a guide to help you with your troubleshooting.

At first glance I thought this is BSOD but you said it has an HP logo on it? Can you post a screenshot? ![]()

@Austing35
What he is saying is that his PC is not getting past the (POST) power on self test that is part of the power on routine prior to booting into Windows. The HP logo is normally shown (in older notebooks) the beginning of power on.. My HP loaner Envy17-3001ea does not show the HP logo on powering up.
